Safe participation. Strong community. Lawful advocacy.

Build HDBBA into a trusted home for members, training, events, and engagement.

This MVP positions HDBBA as a serious association hub: public-facing where it should be, private where members need trust, and structured enough to support growth into WordPress plus WildApricot.

Events, training, partners, moderation, and engagement

Netlify today, WordPress + WildApricot production path tomorrow

Give the organization a public face that feels credible, organized, and welcoming.

HDBBA's website should do more than announce events. It should show what the organization stands for, make it easy to join, and create a clear path from public interest to trusted member participation.

This MVP is intentionally built around community health: responsible participation, coaching and training, lawful advocacy, partner development, and a private member experience that can scale without depending on deprecated Facebook group integrations.

Trust built through verification, consent, and moderation
Programming designed around confidence, instruction, and repeatable cadence

A visible set of principles for members, guests, sponsors, and the public.

Safe and responsible participation

We centre practical safety, sound judgment, and a culture where good habits are visible and teachable.

Education and skills development

We create clear pathways from first questions to confident participation through coaching, clinics, and peer support.

Lawful advocacy

We engage with facts, respect the law, and help members communicate effectively with institutions and officials.

Respect and sportsmanship

We model discipline, civility, and courtesy in-person, online, and in every HDBBA-run event or discussion.

Family and community

We welcome new people thoughtfully and design programming that supports families, mentors, and new-member confidence.

Support for local partners

We elevate trusted ranges, trainers, clubs, and businesses that strengthen the local ecosystem.

Privacy by default

We keep member data purposeful, consent-based, and separated from public-facing content whenever privacy matters.

Service and stewardship

We build a volunteer culture where experienced members help keep the association organized, active, and safe.

Membership starts with clarity, consent, and board review.

  1. Submit your application and tell us what kind of participation you are looking for.
  2. Accept email, privacy, and code of conduct terms so the process is transparent from day one.
  3. Optionally include your Facebook profile URL and a rotating code from the Facebook group for extra context.
  4. The board or membership owner reviews the application and either approves, holds for follow-up, or rejects it.
Facebook sign-in or profile links can be useful for context, but they are not treated as proof of membership.
