Membership

Join a community network with clearer standards

The membership experience is now structured like a real association intake: application, consents, optional Facebook context, a parallel email-group path for people without Facebook, human review, and then approved access to the private member environment.

Private event access

Members get the private event board, RSVP controls, and calendar rhythm tied to training and community nights.

Training library

Orientation tools, safety briefings, policy explainers, and partner-led pathways live inside the portal.

Volunteer roles

Welcome team, sponsor relations, and training support opportunities turn members into active contributors.

Approval flow

How access works

  1. Submit the membership intake form and select the programming you care about.
  2. Accept email, privacy, and code of conduct terms so expectations are explicit from the start.
  3. Optionally include a Facebook profile URL and rotating group code for context during review.
  4. The board or membership owner approves, holds, or rejects the application.

Member rules

Private showcase standards

  • Allowed: educational setups, safety takeaways, match prep, lawful field lessons.
  • Not allowed: pricing, listings, brokering language, cash requests, or private sale prompts.
  • Expected tone: respectful, practical, family-aware, and useful to newer members.
Facebook may help with context, but it is not treated as proof of membership. Firearm-related activities, where listed, take place through licensed third-party facilities and require the appropriate licence or authorization.
Facebook group context.

Facebook stays optional

It can help with context during review, but it is not the source of truth for membership.

Email updates path.

Email group stays open

People without Facebook can still get HDBBA updates, join guidance, and participation notices.

Required confirmations

These confirm contact consent, privacy terms, and member participation standards.
